Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Richmond, TX, seeks a Risk Management Specialist IV to lead risk management, safety, and regulatory compliance at the facility level. Responsibilities include supervising staff, overseeing training, and coordinating corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in risk management, investigating workplace injuries, or safety programs.
• Experience conducting environmental and safety inspections.
• Experience conducting daily routine security surveillance.
• Experience supervising staff or leading a department is preferred.
• Experience conducting table‑top exercises, fire drills, or facility evacuation drills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may work a specific or rotating shift schedule, extended hours, or overtime as needed.
• Develops, implements, and reviews facility policies and procedures related to risk management, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates Life Safety Code/Fire Marshall inspections and risk management activities.
• Oversees security surveillance, incident reporting, and addresses security or environmental hazards.
• Supervises department staff, conducts evaluations, and supports training and staff development.
• Coordinates plans of correction and quality improvement initiatives for safety and risk management.
