IFG Companies is seeking an experienced Risk Management Actuary to advance enterprise risk management and underwriting decision-making. The role emphasizes portfolio risk evaluation, pricing adequacy, reinsurance support and financial risk analysis.

You will collaborate across Underwriting, Pricing, Reserving and senior leadership to align pricing, risk transfer and monitoring with profitable growth. The successful candidate will be technically strong, collaborative and capable of translating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to insurance, risk management, economics or actuarial science.
• Ten years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance, preferably with a U.S. commercial insurer.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, validation and submission of reinsurance data packages for treaty placements.
• Assist with reinsurance treaty renewal efforts and respond to reinsurer data requests.
• Evaluate reinsurance structures, retentions and limits through financial analyses.
• Support enterprise risk management via portfolio risk, premium adequacy, loss drivers and concentrations.
• Provide analytical support for internal and external reporting including regulatory and rating agency requests.
• Conduct and review pricing and rate indication analyses to support profitability.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and Pricing to evaluate rating structures and portfolio performance.
• Monitor portfolio performance, renewal rate changes and key risk metrics.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Reserving and Modeling Actuaries to ensure data consistency.
• Design and implement analytical tools, dashboards and process improvements.
• Perform ad hoc analyses on large losses, emerging risks, and portfolio trends.
• Use Excel, SQL and Python to analyze data and improve data quality.
• Create and maintain documentation per CAS Code of Professional Conduct.
• Other duties as requested.
