Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in risk management or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 7+ years of experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Working knowledge of risk management and independence principles.
• Ability to research, analyze information and communicate recommendations.
• Ability to manage priorities and maintain documentation.
• Documentation of processes, procedures and results; data validation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and research tools; PowerBI/Intapp/Smartsheet a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diligence and onboarding activities related to independence conflicts of interest in mergers and acquisitions.
• Monitor timely completion of independence compliance requirements.
• Review and implement safeguards for independence-related requirements.
• Monitor and assist with independence consultation requests.
• Assist with restricted investment monitoring.
• Support independence and compliance requests from regulatory agencies.
• Assist with monitoring compliance with public company independence requirements.
• Participate in special projects and development of AI tools to streamline compliance requirements moving forward.
