Job summary

NFP, an Aon Company, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Risk Due Diligence M&A Manager to support and enhance our growing due diligence practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions, serve as a trusted advisor to private equity investors, and influence how risk and insurance considerations are evaluated throughout the deal process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Insurance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in the insurance industry with private equity, M&A, transactional risk, or due diligence.
• Expertise in Property & Casualty and specialty lines (Cyber, Professional Liability, Financial Lines, Environmental, Captive).
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and transaction structures.
• Ability to manage multiple complex engagements and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
• Client-facing presence with credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial analysis, and report preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex risk and insurance due diligence engagements for private equity transactions across industries.
• Serve as a key client contact throughout the transaction lifecycle with consultative guidance.
• Enhance due diligence methodologies, reporting standards, and workflow efficiency.
• Evaluate insurance programs, claims history, collateral, captives, and financial exposures.
• Identify transaction risks and collaborate with advisors to develop solutions.
• Partner with brokers, coverage specialists, and M&A professionals to assess findings and craft risk strategies.
• Deliver accurate due diligence reports and executive-level presentations.
• Occasional travel as required.
