Job summary

Aon is seeking an experienced risk & insurance due diligence consultant in New York to join the M&A and Transaction Advisory Solutions practice. You will lead P&C due diligence projects, collaborate with brokers, and deliver professional reports to private equity and corporate clients.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and the ability to manage multiple engagements. With a focus on growth, you will work hybrid (in office 3 days a week) and report to the regional leader

Qualifications

• P&C insurance knowledge across Property, Casualty, cyber, E&O, financial lines, environmental.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting.
• Project management and cross-functional coordination.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight timelines.
• Broker’s license is required; drive client engagements.
• 10+ years of insurance experience preferred; CPCU/ MBA/CPA/JD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence projects of varying complexity.
• Collaborate with brokers, exposure experts, producers, and M&A teams to develop findings.
• Serve as trusted advisor to private equity firms and target companies.
• Prepare accurate, professional due diligence reports for clients.
• Analyze insurance coverage, claims history, collateral, and draft agreements.
• Identify issues and coordinate with third parties for resolutions.
• Develop relationships with ongoing clients and convert targets to clients.
• Capture and communicate the value Aon provides in challenging situations.
• Prepare spreadsheets, analyze data, and develop proposals for clients.
• Travel as required for client engagements.
