Job summary

NFP, an Aon Company, seeks an Assistant Vice President, Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Project Manager to lead complex due diligence engagements for private equity transactions. You will serve as a trusted advisor, coordinate internal client teams, and deliver high-quality client reports and executive-level presentations.

The role requires 7+ years in insurance with PE/due diligence experience, strong client-facing and communication skills, and expertise in Property & Casualty and specialty lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, accounting, business, insurance or related field.
• 7+ years in insurance with private equity, M&A or due diligence experience.
• Expertise in Property & Casualty and specialty lines (Cyber, Professional Liability, Financial Lines, Environmental, Captive).
• Strong understanding of financial statements and transaction structures.
• Ability to manage multiple complex engagements and deliver high-quality work.
• Strong client-facing presence with credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex risk and insurance due diligence engagements for PE transactions.
• Serve as a key client contact during the transaction lifecycle.
• Contribute to enhancements in methodologies, reporting and workflow efficiency.
• Evaluate insurance programs, claims history, collateral, captives and exposures.
• Identify transaction risks and collaborate on solutions with advisors.
• Partner with brokers, coverage specialists and M&A professionals to assess findings.
• Deliver due diligence reports and executive-level presentations.
• Occasional travel as required.
