Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Control Officer within the Business Risk & Control team to strengthen governance across non-financial risk domains and support first line defense activities.

You will execute control activities, oversee RCSA processes, and coordinate with Internal Audit and risk owners to ensure robust risk management. The role reports to BRC and corporate function, offering exposure to Credit, Market, Liquidity, and Enterprise Risk in a hybrid work environment in the

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in risk control or related control functions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting and risk management disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line of defense coverage for the Americas Risk Management (ARM) division.
• Own the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of control deliverables and artifacts.
• Lead and support core control activities including RCSA, process mapping, control inventories, testing, events, and reporting.
• Support Internal Audit engagements with issue tracking and remediation status.
• Collaborate with colleagues to balance non-financial risk requirements with business needs.
