Job summary

Millennium Management LLC in New York City seeks a Risk Controls Manager to lead regional oversight of external manager risk controls and partner with trading teams to implement effective control frameworks.

You will drive onboarding, pre-trade and post-trade risk management, develop dashboards, monitor performance and contribute to firm-wide governance across risk and external trading activities.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in trading, risk or controls.
• Experience supporting electronic trading is highly desirable.
• Strong product knowledge across equities, futures, options or commodities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional oversight of external manager risk controls and establish frameworks.
• Serve as regional SME for external trading controls, onboarding, pre-trade and post-trade risk management.
• Set trading limits, monitor adherence and manage exceptions.
• Coordinate controls reviews and onboarding of external Portfolio Managers.
• Develop controls dashboards and monitor performance; identify remediation needs.
• Review trading events and track remediation progress.
• Contribute to firm-wide standards and governance for external trading activities.
