Job summary

Trustly, a global fintech leader in Open Banking Payments, seeks a leader to run risk operations and collections for its US hub. In a hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York, you will manage alert queues, document cases, and optimize return performance with banking partners.

You will set playbooks, monitor NACHA thresholds, and drive remediation plans, while mentoring analysts and ensuring audit-ready controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in payments, banking or lending risk operations with 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience running queue-based operations to SLA, with capacity planning and reporting.
• Familiarity with ACH/EFT, return codes, and representment processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk operations, alert handling, case review, representment, and collections handover.
• Own risk/return queues, monitor service levels, and ensure decision accuracy and case aging.
• Act as first line of defense for case reviews and document the rationale.
