Summary of This Role
Provides support for the development, implementation, and enforcement of the IT Risk program, including risk analysis, risk intake management, risk and issue management, and risk assessments. Performs risk management and assessment functions related to technology risks. Develops reporting processes for data analysis to minimize risk exposure. Consults with managers and executives on related issues. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and conducts regular training on compliance issues.
What Part Will You Play?
- Collaborate with team members to develop IT risk management practices, overseeing IT risk/issue management and assessments. Use technical skills to identify and address issues across technology stacks.
- Participate in IT risk activities across the company, assisting in identifying, examining, and analyzing IT applications, processes, and systems, and their impact. Contribute to the creation of the IT risk assessment roadmap, identifying gaps, threats, and financial or client impact, and collaborating on remediation plans.
- Assist in complex risk assessment initiatives such as SPOF assessments during mergers and acquisitions, possibly requiring international travel.
- Manage a centralized risk management repository related to compliance and risks within risk tolerance, with mitigation measures.
- Support the development of IT risk reports for business units, executives, and the Board, ensuring regulatory compliance and aiding risk-based decision-making.
- Present updates on IT risk priorities and monitor significant risks to ensure active management and reporting.
- Recommend and implement improvements to IT risk procedures and practices to maintain a proactive, risk-based compliance program, adapting to industry changes.
- Adhere to operational risk policies based on global regulations and standards, assessing and verifying IT risk management processes.
- Other duties as assigned; some travel may be required.
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (or relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
- Typically at least 4 years of related professional experience
- Strong technical skills or aptitude
- Assertive work ethic, passion for work and leadership, multi-tasking, analytical, networking, communication, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Experience in the payment or technology industry, preferably with Global Payments
- Certifications such as PCI, SSCP, CISSP, AWS Cloud, CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, or GRCP are a plus
