Job summary

Polymarket is building a U.S. regulated exchange and seeks a Senior Risk Analyst to shape the risk management function.

You will work with trading, product, legal, and operations to establish governance that works in a fast-moving environment, making risk decisions in real time with senior leadership. The role requires deep experience in risk management within financial services, strong communication, and the ability to drive risk decisions without formal authority.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit within financial services and capital markets.
• Direct experience in front office or middle office trading, covering equities and/or equity derivatives.
• Experience implementing a risk management framework inside a regulated organization.
• Proven track record working with trading or front office leaders to assess risk and propose solutions.
• Ability to drive decisions across product, legal, and operations without formal authority.
• Strong written communication skills for governance materials and risk reports.
• Plus: broker-dealer/futures commission merchant or regulated exchange experience.
• Plus: familiarity with CFTC or SEC frameworks.
• Plus: startup or high-growth fintech where you built processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the risk governance framework for the U.S. Exchange business, including risk assessments and reporting cadences.
• Draft, revise, and own risk policies, procedures, and risk registers as regulatory requirements evolve.
• Collaborate with trading, product, legal, and operations to identify risk issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Run ongoing assessments against the Enterprise Risk Management framework and flag gaps.
• Hold stakeholders accountable to defined risk processes and ownership of risk decisions.
• Translate complex risk concepts into plain terms for senior leaders making fast decisions.
• Monitor regulatory and market environment and surface policy or process responses.
