Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a Senior Payment Risk Analyst to own the risk posture of money movement on a high-volume, regulated platform. The role sits within the US Exchange, collaborating with Compliance, Engineering, Legal and InfoSec to close control gaps and ensure regulatory alignment.

The candidate will investigate live fraud cases, monitor transaction data, write risk rules, and maintain relationships with payment processors and banks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on payments risk, fraud risk, or transaction monitoring in fintech or financial services.
• Direct experience with ACH, wire, card networks, and real-time payment rails and dispute rules.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML fundamentals and SAR filing requirements.
• Experience setting quantitative risk thresholds and defending decisions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate live payment fraud cases across deposits, withdrawals and settlements; decide holds and actions.
• Monitor transaction data for anomalies around high-volume events; separate spikes from abuse.
• Write and tune fraud detection rules using transaction data and quantitative thresholds.
• Identify control gaps across the payment stack and coordinate remediation with Engineering and Compliance.
• Maintain relationships with payment processors, card networks, banks, and regulators as needed.
• Produce risk memos and reports for senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Maintain and improve fraud and payment risk runbooks and documentation.
