Job summary

Charles Schwab in Austin is seeking a Senior Specialist in Risk Analytics/Modeling to evaluate analytical models, AI/ML systems, and cybersecurity analytics that support key business decisions.

You will perform independent analysis, validate methodologies and results, and present findings to stakeholders. This role values curiosity, integrity, and clear communication, with a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and relocation to listed areas.

Qualifications

• We require a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Cyber-security, Data Science, CS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to programming, data analysis, ML, statistics, or quantitative research through coursework or projects.
• 0-5 years of professional experience in finance, modeling, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate analytical models supporting investment management, cybersecurity threat detection, AI, and risk management.
• Analyze model methodologies, testing results, and performance data for accuracy and reliability.
• Perform independent analysis and communicate findings via validation reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and business partners across Schwab.
