Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation seeks a Senior Specialist, Internal Audit, Risk Analytics/Modeling and Technology Audit. The role focuses on model risk audits and technology infrastructure testing to support governance and risk management across lines of business.

You will test model development, governance and validation controls, with collaboration across model owners, validators, and IAD leaders. Strong quantitative skills and regulatory awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience performing internal audits in a complex regulatory environment.
• Advanced degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to model governance processes and regulatory requirements for large US banks.

Responsibilities

• Audit execution for models, including testing of model development and validations per SR 26-2 guidance.
• Document audit work using templates and participate in meetings with model owners and validators.
• Contribute to technology infrastructure audits (Operating Systems, Databases, Network, etc.) and general controls testing.
• Identify and draft audit observations with senior audit stakeholders; validate action plans.
• Mentor and assist team members; support training and onboarding.
