Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analyst in Risk Analytics to own end-to-end controls for account takeover prevention and scam risk across the Coinbase ecosystem. You’ll define risk metrics, partner with Product/Engineering/Data Science, and drive strategies to stay ahead of evolving threats.

The role requires 6+ years in risk, 2+ years in data analysis (SQL/Python), and proficiency with BI tools. It offers a remote-first setup with quarterly in-person surges and equity/bonus eligibility.

Formación

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services, with focus on ATO and scams.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with BI/dataviz tools (Tableau/Looker/Superset) to build dashboards and reports.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and cryptocurrency fraud trends.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention, scaling processes as the business grows.
• Define risk metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Leverage data to assess risk and inform decisions affecting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop risk strategies across the product suite.
• Translate data findings into clear narratives for risk and product leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent activities by reviewing alerts on abnormal behavior.
