Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team within the Consumer & Business group to own the identification and mitigation of account takeover and scam risk across the Coinbase ecosystem.

You will build defenses, define risk metrics, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of evolving threats. The role requires 6+ years in risk with at least 2 years in SQL and Python, plus experience with BI tools to deliver dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python with large-scale databases.
• Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Superset) to build dashboards and reporting.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends in cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention as the business expands.
• Define risk success metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive improvements.
• Use data to assess risk and inform decisions impacting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop risk strategies.
• Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent and scam activities via alerts and reviews.
