Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team within the Consumer & Business group. You will own end-to-end controls for account takeover and scam prevention, deploying data-driven risk decisions across the Coinbase ecosystem.

You will define risk metrics, build dashboards, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of evolving threats with responsible use of AI and strong emphasis on security across regions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services, with at least 2 years focused on combating ATO and scams.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Proven ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects with cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends in cryptocurrency.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention, scaling as the business grows.
• Define risk metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive improvements.
• Leverage data to assess risk and inform decisions affecting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop risk strategies.
• Synthesize data findings into narratives for senior leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent activities by reviewing alerts.
