Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Medicare risk adjustment methodologies and HCC coding.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM guidelines and documentation requirements.
• Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and resolve complex coding questions.
• Provides training, coaching, and quality review support to staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation resource for complex coding, documentation, and risk adjustment questions.
• Review medical records to validate diagnosis coding accuracy and HCC capture.
• Lead resolution of non-routine coding issues and research regulatory guidance.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and knowledge sharing to coding staff to ensure consistency.
