Job summary

Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. seeks a Senior Rigging Engineer in New Albany, OH, to support Bechtel’s Phase 1 Ohio One project. You will provide technical rigging guidance to construction teams and coordinate heavy lift planning.

Responsibilities include preparing lift plans, selecting equipment, and ensuring safety and compliance with Bechtel standards. This role demands strong engineering expertise in lifting and heavy haul transport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5–8 years of relevant experience (or 9–12 years total if no degree).
• Experience with lifting equipment, heavy lifts, and marine operations.
• Knowledge of ASME B30.20 BTH-1 and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rigging plans, calculations, and specifications for rigging material and lift equipment.
• Reviews and approves bull rigging plans as required under Bechtel supervision.
• Selects crane sizes and lifting hardware for safe work execution.
• Maintains contact with engineering regarding plant layout and loadings.
• Plans lifts, sequences work, and coordinates with safety on procedures.
• Monitors rigging work to ensure adherence to approved plans.
