Job summary

Uponor is seeking a Senior Research Scientist in Rheology to lead polymer pipe development projects at our North American headquarters in Apple Valley, MN. The role requires a PhD in Polymer Science/Engineering or related field and 7–10+ years of related experience with hands-on rheology work on polymer melts and networks.

Qualifications

PhD in Polymer Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 7–10+ years of experience.
Hands-on rheological characterization of polymer melts and networks.
Experience with extrusion technology and pipe development is a plus.
Stage Gate Process/Technology Gates experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct research and development work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Lead projects and collaborate with teams in the US and with Europe as needed.
Identify technologies with value and communicate pros/cons to peers and management.
Prepare reports, communicate results clearly, and contribute to business success.
