Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Senior Enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator to lead administration, security, resiliency, and modernization of enterprise Linux infrastructure in support of the DTRA mission at Fort Belvoir, VA.

You will provide advanced systems administration, troubleshooting, automation, and cybersecurity compliance leadership for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in related field; this can be substituted by work experience.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Fully adjudicated Top Secret clearance w/ TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical authority for Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms supporting DSMS mission applications, services, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, program leadership, cybersecurity personnel, and technical operations teams to analyze, design, configure, test, integrate, sustain, and modernize RHEL systems.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce scalable RHEL configuration-management practices, baseline configurations, automation, system hardening standards, and operational procedures.
• Conduct platform needs assessments, gap analyses, architecture reviews, and capacity evaluations; develop and implement technically sound solutions to improve availability, performance, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Deploy, configure, patch, upgrade, and sustain RHEL operating systems, applications, security tools, configuration-management services, and supporting infrastructure.
