Checkpoint Systems in Thorofare, NJ seeks an Electronic & PCB Design Engineer to contribute to RFID applications for retail customers. You will design, develop, and deploy hardware solutions as part of a collaborative team, handling PCB layout, validation, and documentation from schematics to fabrication.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with circuit designers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing staff, with heavy involvement in design for manufacturability and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Experience with high-density analog, digital PCB layout is essential.

Responsibilities

• Research solutions to complex technical problems under constraints such as performance, size, power and cost.
• Review and analyze digital and analog hardware designs including part selection and timing.
• Design printed circuit boards for new products (RFID reader, IoT devices, accessories).
• Validate prototypes and production builds; generate test reports.
• Guide hardware test procedures for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with firmware and FPGA engineers and assist board bring up.
• Support sustaining activities with EOL or part shortages.
• Support test activities with existing and new products.
