Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Switch/LNA/RF IC Design Engineer to design GaAs/SOI/SiGe/CMOS based switches and LNA/RF ICs for Front End Modules. Work with marketing and module designers to define the IC and integrate into modules.

You will use HFSS, Cadence and ADS for design and simulations, build laminates for evaluation, perform RF measurements with VNA and spectrum analyzers, and guide production readiness to ensure smooth volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience with switch/RF IC design.
• Experience with HFSS, Cadence and ADS for RF design.
• Experience simulating GaAs/Silicon/SiGe based switches/LNA/RF ICs.
• Experience designing laminates to support switch/RF IC evaluation.
• Hands-on knowledge of small signal and linearity measurements with VNA and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with EM simulators such as Momentum, HFSS.
• Experience with Front End Modules and remote engineering teams.
• Able to work independently and meet aggressive schedules.

Responsibilities

• Define switch/LNA/RF IC with Marketing and module designers.
• Design, layout and evaluation of laminates to support switch characterization.
• Expert use of RF measurement equipment and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams to integrate IC into modules and guide design tradeoffs.
• Support production readiness and yield optimization.
