Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a hands-on RFIC test engineer to evaluate prototype silicon, perform 20GHz+ measurements, and automate measurement lab workflows.

You will develop product collateral, assist customers pre- and post-sale, and collaborate across disciplines to define new products, while supporting ISO/quality procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid on-site lab role with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and continuous innovation.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years, or M.Sc. with 7+, or PhD with 5+ years.
• Experience with wafer probing of RFICs >20GHz.
• Experience with measurement automation in Python, C or similar.
• Experience with creation of IC product collateral (datasheets, evaluation boards, etc.).
• Familiar with RF board level design & layout practices.
• Experience with technical customer support.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on efficient evaluation of prototype silicon and RF/mmWave measurements.
• Laboratory automation and control of RF/mmWave wafer prober and measurement equipment.
• Develop product collateral such as datasheets, evaluation boards, and evaluation software.
• Provide technical support (pre- and post-sale) to internal and external customers.
• Contribute to new product definitions in collaboration with other disciplines and customers.
• Collaborate with corporate cross-functional teams on advanced developments.
