Job summary
TUV SUD America is seeking a Senior RF/Wireless Engineer in California to lead wireless certification programs and regulatory testing for connected products. You will work with customers, lab teams, project management, and commercial teams to ensure successful certification outcomes.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's in EE/Telecommunications, 5+ years in hands-on wireless testing (or 3+ years with a Master's).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecommunications engineering with hands-on experience.
- Experience with PTCRB, FCC, ISED and RSE requirements and cellular testing.
- RF fundamentals and wireless technology knowledge; measurement techniques.
- Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 labs is a plus and automation tools (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
Responsibilities
- Perform wireless certification and regulatory testing per PTCRB, FCC, ISED, ETSI.
- Test conformance for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G NR, and emerging technologies.
- Execute RF measurements: RSE, transmitter/receiver tests, spectrum analysis.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and certification reports.
- Analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Operate cellular testers and lab equipment; guide engineers and technicians.
- Support lab quality, process improvements and new test capabilities.
