Job summary

TUV SUD America in New Brighton, MN is seeking an RF Test Engineer to join our wireless compliance testing team. You will support RF testing activities for intentional and unintentional radiators intended for global markets including North America, Europe, and Japan.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience or academic exposure to RF testing, wireless systems, and regulatory standards, with opportunities to develop technical expertise across automotive, military, rail, marine, and wireless

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of RF or wireless testing experience or related coursework.
• Strong understanding of EMC/EMI/RF principles and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with wireless technologies and standards.
• Excellent organizational, report-writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple testing activities and produce technical reports.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF testing for radiators used in North America, Japan, and Europe.
• Test wireless transmitters for CMS, GMRS, CBRS, and U-NII services.
• Follow testing standards: ETSI, FCC, ICES, EN.
• Operate spectrum analyzers, signal generators, EMI receivers, scopes, antennas, meters, and analyzers.
• Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports with documentation and photographs.
• Contribute to equipment development and testing methodologies.
• Support customers before and during RF test programs.
• Validate customer requirements and perform on-site visits when needed.
• Provide input for quotations and proposals; troubleshoot failures.
