Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks an experienced Wireless Systems Validation Engineer to own wireless validation across Sunnyvale, San Diego, and Irvine. You will execute test plans, perform RF/baseband testing, and collaborate with silicon and software teams to ensure quality for products shipped worldwide.

Responsibilities include running rigorous tests with CMW500/UXM and spectrum analyzers, analyzing failures, and contributing to regulatory certification. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2+ years of progressive professional experience in wireless systems validation, test engineering, or RF/baseband testing.
• Strong hands-on background in wireless principles and RF/baseband testing.
• Proficiency with lab equipment and testing tools.
• Solid understanding of 5G/LTE/Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth standards.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to work on-site at Apple facilities in Sunnyvale, San Diego or Irvine.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive systems validation test plans for Apple’s wireless products.
• Lead lab-based silicon bring-up, testing, and performance characterization of RF/baseband components.
• Perform RF parametric tests, throughput, link margin, and protocol conformance.
• Use advanced wireless test equipment to run automated and manual test cases.
• Analyze failures, debug hardware/software issues, and file detailed bug reports.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, software, and validation teams.
• Support regulatory certification and carrier conformance testing under guidance.
• Maintain lab benches, calibration logs, and test script repositories.
