Job summary

CesiumAstro is expanding its team in Westminster, MD, seeking a Senior Staff RF Test Engineer to design, analyze, and implement RF test plans for cutting-edge satellite and aerospace systems.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in RF test engineering, strong RF measurement skills, hands-on lab experience with VSA, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and proficiency in Python/MATLAB/C/C++. This full-time role offers stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 12+ years RF test systems experience.
• High proficiency with RF measurements (Linearity, NSD, EVM).
• Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, meters, loads, SMUs, RF generators, analyzers).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and test engineering teams to develop test requirements.
• Map requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures.
• Implement test plans and procedures, logging and presenting results to stakeholders.
• Lab and equipment management; guide equipment purchase decisions.
• Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive team.
