Job summary

Science Applications International Corp. in Crane, IN seeks a senior electronics engineer with extensive automated test set design and development experience to support radar systems used by the U.S. Navy.

You will serve as a subject matter expert on engineering, testing, and sustainment of complex RF systems. The role requires 8+ years of experience and a strong background in RF test engineering, data analysis in MATLAB, and programming in Python/C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience as an electronics engineer with automated test set design.
• Significant RF systems and RF test engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing, developing, integrating, and validating automated test sets for complex electronic/RF systems.
• Experience defining test architectures and strategies for system-, sub-assembly-, and component-level testing.
• Experience selecting and integrating test instruments (VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, switch matrices, controllers).
• Experience developing and maintaining TRDs, Test Procedures, and TPS.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of automated test sets for RF/electronic systems.
• Document hardware/software configurations as part of a Technical Data Package (TDP).
• Develop test requirements documents, procedures, and verification plans.
• Plan calibration support for RF test sets and instruments, including standards and intervals.
• Create and maintain test configurations, limits, and pass/fail criteria.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical reviews and training.
