Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) outside Baltimore, MD seeks a Senior Staff Semiconductor RF Test Engineer to lead high‑power transistor test solutions for multiple III‑V fab technologies. You will architect new test approaches, develop software/hardware, and verify production readiness.

The role requires extensive semiconductor test experience, prior leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel 10%. U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 14 years of related experience.
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 12 years of experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with 9 years of experience.
• Direct semiconductor test software and hardware development experience.
• Prior test lead or test architect experience, working on developing production test solutions.
• Direct experience in leading a team of test or product engineers, responsible for talent development and training.
• Hands‑on hardware skills including probe card and package part fixture/DIB design & coordinating layout & assembly.
• Software skills in a modern language such as C#, Python, C++ or Java.
• U.S. Citizenship required. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of high power packaged transistors test solutions for various III-V fab technologies and levels of integrations.
• Understand product test requirements, architect new test solutions, and develop software and hardware components.
• Perform verification and validation work required for engineering and production test release.
• Develop test board interfaces to allow data collection of various parameters.
• Lead innovations in manufacturing IC test solutions and guide the ATL test team through tough test problems.
• Train peers, participate in test planning, and help build resource and test strategy.
