Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation to deliver high speed, low latency broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As part of Payload Integration and Test, this role is focused on hands on integration, validation, troubleshooting, and qualification of end to end satellite communications systems across space, ground, RF, modem, RAN, Core, transport, and cloud infrastructure.

The work is lab centered and system focused.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in RF systems integration, wireless validation, OTA testing, or cellular lab experience.
• Strong RF fundamentals: link budgets, SNR, EVM, ACLR, gain, noise figure, synchronization.
• Knowledge of 3GPP Release 17 NTN concepts and RF/system validation.
• Experience with Open RAN, gNodeB, CU/DU/RU, 5G Core systems testing.
• Experience with VoNR/IMS and RF mobility impacting service continuity.
• Experience with RF lab equipment and protocol traces for debugging.

Responsibilities

• Integrate RF payload hardware, modems, antennas, Open RAN components into end-to-end validation environments.
• Execute RF, OTA, chamber, HIL, modem, and system tests for NTN and satellite terrestrial validation.
• Validate 3GPP NTN behavior from RF and system perspectives including synchronization and mobility.
• Correlate RF impairments with protocol and service behavior (attach, PDU, handover, latency).
• Support Open RAN integration across CU, DU, RU, gNodeB, RF front end, payload, and 5G Core.
• Use spectrum analyzers, signal generators, channel emulators, and protocol traces to isolate failures.
• Drive root cause across RF hardware, antenna, modem software, RAN, Core, timing, and lab setup.
• Develop integration test procedures, readiness gates, regression coverage, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, modem, payload, RAN, Core, network, software, and operations teams.
