Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville seeks a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to support the IDT product team on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System. The role requires leading teams, driving innovative RF solutions, and coordinating with DoD stakeholders to meet mission needs.

The candidate should have a STEM degree with 8+ years of related experience (or advanced degrees) and be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• STEM Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; Master's with 6+ years; PhD with 4+ years.
• Background in RF communications hardware including hardware-to-software interfaces.
• Experience troubleshooting complex hardware/software/RF systems.
• Experience with RF path alignment and testing using test equipment.
• Ability to review logs and hardware drawings for issue resolution.
• U.S. Government security clearance at DoD secret level required (interim acceptable).
