Job summary

StarTekk seeks a Senior RF Communications Engineer for an Atlantic City, NJ engagement. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications/RF Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of RF Communications Engineering experience.
• Experience with RF systems design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of RF characteristics (VSWR, gain, noise figure, impedance, output power, intermodulation).
• Experience with RF components (amplifiers, attenuators, filters, mixers, switches, circulators).
• Hands-on experience with analog and digital VHF/UHF radio systems.
• Experience with communications protocols including TCP/IP, RS-232, RS-422, ATM, SONET, ISDN, Frame Relay, GPIB.
• Experience with RF test equipment and Test & Evaluation (T&E).
• Knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP models.
• VoIP protocols including SIP, RTP, MGCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, integrate, test, and troubleshoot RF and communications systems.
• Perform RF measurements, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Support VHF/UHF radio system integration, operation, and testing.
• Develop and execute T&E documentation including test plans, procedures, VRTMs, and test reports.
• Establish, operate, and maintain communications testbeds and environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and communication networks.
• Support VoIP systems and interfaces.
• Conduct site surveys and support facility installation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide project status updates.
