Job summary

Blue Origin's Lunar RF Systems group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design mixed-signal electronics for space-rated communications. You will own full lifecycle from concept to flight-ready hardware, interfacing with mechanical, test, systems, and software teams.

Candidates should have 8+ years in high-speed mixed-signal design, PCB layout with Altium, and experience with SI tools; space/aerospace experience is preferred. Washington-based role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Experience developing high-speed mixed-signal circuits for aerospace applications.
• Schematic capture and PCB layout for high-density PCBs using Altium Designer.
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity and grounding topologies for high-speed digital applications.
• Experience with worst-case analysis and FMEA.
• Experience with signal/power integrity tools Hyperlynx or Ansys SIWave.
• Experience with hardware-software integrated systems and testing in aerospace environments.
• Experience with Altium Designer for complex PCBs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement analog, digital, and power circuits for RF systems and software-defined radios.
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept to flight-ready hardware.
• Design, manufacture, and test high-reliability PCBs for RF applications.
• Develop power management solutions including DC/DC converters for harsh environments.
• Perform parts stress analysis and worst-case circuit analyses for robustness.
• Create and review schematics, layouts, and BOMs.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and laboratory verification procedures.
• Coordinate across disciplines including thermal, mechanical, and radiation testing.
• Collaborate with TPM for parts selection, vendor scheduling, and procurement.
