Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal RF Electrical Engineer for the RVA program in Clearfield, UT. The role focuses on designing, testing, and maintaining RF systems, antennas, and communication equipment to support government missions.

The ideal candidate will have advanced RF theory knowledge, extensive CAD/EM tools experience, and a proven ability to lead technical efforts across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
• US citizen able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong RF theory knowledge related to communications.
• Experience with RF hardware testing, design, and analysis using CAD.
• Experience in full lifecycle RF system development and deployment.
• Proven technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RF systems, antennas, and related equipment.
• Perform RF analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF with other disciplines.
• Develop and maintain design specifications, reports, and test plans.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
