Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal RF Microwave Design Engineer in Goleta, CA to lead antenna design and delivery for space and aerospace programs. You will own studies through design, analysis, testing, and integration with multi-site collaboration.

Qualifications include a STEM degree with multiple years in RF microwave/antenna work, familiarity with HFSS/CST/GRASP10/CHAMP, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance. The role offers a path across senior levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of RF microwave/antenna design experience, or Master’s with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance in a reasonable time.
• Experience in RF microwave/antenna theory, hardware manufacturing and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and refine antenna components using 3D design tools and modeling methods.
• Generate CAD drawings, RF models, analysis results and documentation for system studies.
• Lead design reviews and oversee manufacturing/test of antennas for airborne and space applications.
• Operate and maintain the on-site antenna test facility and track priorities.
