Job summary

RTX Advanced Airborne RF Sensors team in North Texas seeks a Systems Engineer to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, and verify system interfaces across the product lifecycle.

This onsite role in McKinney requires U.S. citizenship, DoD Secret clearance, and a Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years in radar/RF development or testing.

You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure the product works the first time and deliver mission-ready solutions for national security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 5 years in radar or RF system development, integration, or testing.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

TheAdvanced AirborneRF Sensors departmentwithinthe Space and AirborneSystems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC)Centerseeks talented Systems Engineers. Our teamlocatedinNorth Texas integrateshardware and software, developstest plans and procedures, debugsand evaluatessystemfunctions and interfaces, and verifiessystem requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and everytime.Everydayisa different setof challenges to overcome.You’llbe expected to collaborate across disciplines andpartnerto implement solutions. In this role,you’llget to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and testefforts. This position is an onsiterole inMcKinney, Texas.

What You Will Do

Support array antenna development, engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle. Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.(STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years supporting radar or RF system development, integration, or testing.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within five years
  • Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
  • Hands on experience with RF test equipment such as RF Power Meters, spectrum analyzers, and Network Analyzers
  • Familiarity with antenna theory and design
  • Experience with microwave engineering principles

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
