Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Advanced Airborne RF Sensors department in North Texas. The role focuses on integrating hardware and software, developing test plans, debugging functions, and verifying system requirements for final customer sell-off. Onsite in McKinney, TX.

You will collaborate across disciplines to implement MBSE and Agile product development, supporting radar/EW programs across the lifecycle with lab and field testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• U.S. citizenship and active, transferable Secret security clearance required.
• Advanced degree preferred (MS/PhD) or equivalent experience.

Our teamlocatedinNorth Texas integrateshardware and software, developstest plans and procedures, debugsand evaluatessystemfunctions and interfaces, and verifiessystem requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer.We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and everytime.Everydayisa different setof challenges to overcome.You’llbe expected to collaborate across disciplines andpartnerto implement solutions. In this role,you’llget to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and testefforts. What You Will Do

You will support radar or electronic warfare programs with requirements development, engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle. Through Digital Transformation (DTx) you will perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of radar or RF systems experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active DoD Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
• Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred).
• RF test equipment, microwave engineering principles, and antenna theory
• Experience with MBSE and tools

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
