Job summary

Raytheon in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior RF System Analysis Engineer to support the Radar Sensor Systems production and sustainment program. The role requires extensive experience with AESA platforms and RF measurement equipment, and collaboration with Systems Engineers to resolve complex issues on production, testing, and fielded hardware.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM such as Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in RF data analysis and fault isolation.
  • Experience with RF equipment: Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and DMMs.
  • Experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA).
  • Experience with Digital Receiver Exciter (DREX) Subassemblies.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Our Advanced Radar RF & Design Department has an immediate need for a Senior Radio Frequency (RF) System Analysis Engineer supporting the Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) production and sustainment program. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with a variety of RF platforms, including Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), Digital Receiver Exciter (DREX) Subassemblies, and RF measurement equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to help address and solve complex system and sub-system issues that arise during production, testing, and fielded hardware. This position will reside within the Radar Power Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program. Location: Plano, TX or McKinney, TX with the ability to commute between both sites.

What You Will Do:
  • Conducting failure investigations and providing recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
  • Analysis tool development in support of problem identification and resolution
  • Perform trade studies to optimize system performance and future developments
  • Collaboration with Systems Engineers to develop and implement solutions
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risk
  • Generate technical reports to present to management and the customer.
  • This position requires daily on-site support and is not open to remote work possibilities
  • Expect to Travel 15% of the time.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM discipline such as Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in analysis of RF data, fault isolation, troubleshooting the system to WRA/LRU/Sub-system level.
  • Experience with RF related equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes and/or DMM's.
  • Experience of Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA).
  • Experience with Digital Receiver Exciter (DREX) Subassemblies.
  • Experience working on a production program.
  • Experience with generating analysis tools using MatLab
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain program access is required after start. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Ability to support multiple site locations operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and results-based production environment
  • Experience generating and presenting preliminary and critical design reviews.
  • Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
