Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of RF subsystems and sensors for missile products. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver RF subsystem requirements and performance evaluations.

The role is onsite in Tucson, requiring a DoD Secret clearance and experience across RF measurement, modeling, and testing. Relocation is possible for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience interacting across engineering disciplines to define RF subsystem requirements and evaluate performance.
• Ability to obtain interim U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start and possess potential for special program access.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and integrate RF sensors and subsystems across frequencies from MHz through millimeter-wave.
• Support decomposition of system-level requirements into detailed RF component requirements.
• Measure RF components/sensors/subsystems in chamber and range environments.
• Model and analyze link budgets, RF cascades, EMI, antenna patterns, and ADC characteristics.
