Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Principal RF Software Engineer (STARSHIELD) to drive RF system design decisions and build scalable test infrastructure. You will collaborate with RF, hardware, FPGA, DSP and software teams to deliver mission-critical satellite capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires advanced C/C++ or Python development, extensive experience with RF test equipment and antennas, and the ability to obtain/maintain an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional development in C/C++ or Python.
• Experience with RF test equipment and antennas/communication systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive program-level decisions on RF system designs.
• Research novel solutions for large-scale satellite RF systems.
• Design, build, validate, and automate RF test benches for RF designs.
• Design and build modular, scalable RF test infrastructure and test sequences in Python and C++.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, DSP, and software engineers to validate RF systems.
• Create electromagnetic simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance.
