Job summary

BBN Technologies, a RTX company, seeks a highly qualified RF Signal Processing Research Scientist to advance sensing technology for the DoD, IC and industry. You will derive and implement research-grade algorithms for estimation, detection, and adaptive processing on real sensor data.

Requirements include an MS in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 10 years of relevant experience or a PhD with 8 years, plus an active TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 10 years of relevant experience or PhD with 8 years experience.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Experience applying advanced methods, theories, and R&D techniques to solve difficult problems.
• Experience leading small teams of technical contributors and presenting to government customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimation and detection algorithms for DoD/IC sensing applications.
• Apply adaptive signal processing, machine learning, and optimization to sensor data.
• Model RF propagation and target signatures for sensing.
• Perform range-Doppler and SAR processing and signal classification.
• Collaborate with government customers and mentors to advance research goals.
