Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with microwave focus; minimum 6 years of related experience.
• Expertise in RF resonant tank circuits and low-noise analog electronics.
• Hands-on experience with precision circuits and atomic clock principles.
• Experience from concept to prototype to engineering model to field deployed/flight model, operating hardware over years.
• Experience with Altium and HFSS.

Responsibilities

• Develop ultralow-noise microwave oscillators and synthesizers; reliable resonant drivers for ion traps and discharge lamps; ultralow noise, power-efficient analog electronics for clock improvements.
• Support development and maintenance of RF and microwave assemblies for the DSN Frequency and Time Subsystem (FTS) at Cognizant Engineer level.
• Design, assemble and test electronic drivers for atomic clocks, low-noise optical and RF systems, and metrology devices.
