Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an RF Microwave Design Engineer (Level 3 or 4) to design RF components for DoD, civil-sat, and commercial programs.

You will work from design through production and test in a collaborative team, with occasional night/weekend support and potential leadership responsibilities over time. The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years (or 3+ with a Master’s) in RF/microwave disciplines, and the ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years in RF/microwave fields.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
• Experience with RF measurement equipment such as network analyzers, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong collaboration in a fast-paced team environment and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop RF component specifications derived from system requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and lead RF component interfaces with internal teams.
• Evaluate ICDs and assist with SOW generation for subcontractors.
• Provide ongoing technical support through component life cycle and integration.
• Prepare design-review packages and present to customers; summarize test data and trends.
