Job summary

Leidos Defense Group is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer (FSE) for RF-ITV operations in Hawaii, INDOPACOM. You will troubleshoot, install, and support RFID nodes, engage with headquarters and unit customers, and ensure high operational readiness across sites in Hawaii and beyond.

The role requires DoD-8570 IAT II (Security+) certification, extensive RFID experience, and strong communication skills to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with extensive relevant experience.
• Extensive RFID hardware/software installation, upgrade and replacement experience.
• Proven data analysis of operational, system design and performance trends.
• Experience briefing INDOPACOM stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field service engineer for RF-ITV sites across Hawaii and INDOPACOM region.
• Oversight of RF-ITV read nodes with goal of 97% operational readiness.
• Support Next Generation Tags and related software (e.g., TIPS Read/Write).
• Act as SME on RFID wave propagation and ISO 18000-7 protocols.
• Coordinate outages, maintenance, surveys, installs, de-installs, and training in ISS.
• Prepare customer-ready reports and maintain SOP compliance.
