Job summary

Cubic Defense is seeking an experienced Field Systems Engineer to provide onsite technical support for DoD Airborne ISR/FMVs in a mission-critical, OCONUS environment on Ford Island, Hawaii. You will work with government personnel and software/hardware teams to maintain system availability and performance.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, deployments, and maintenance of Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and secure data transfer, with a path toward senior technical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field and 3–5 years supporting enterprise IT infrastructure or field engineering.
• Active U.S. SECRET clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; willing to work onsite with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for AISR FMV systems and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and network issues using established procedures.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers and supporting services.
• Support CDS operations, routine maintenance, and configuration changes under guidance.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and system changes per program processes.
