Job summary

K2 Space is building the next generation of high-power satellites, delivering SDR-based RF systems for space missions and rapidly iterating in a high-growth startup environment.

You will architect, develop, test, and integrate RF electronics for space-qualified satellite communications, collaborating with antenna, FPGA, DSP, software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to push performance limits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of microwave and RF engineering experience.
• Experience with PCBAs and RF IC integration in Altium or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF/microwave hardware from 200 MHz through Ka band 30 GHz.
• Design PCBAs for spacecraft including architecture, schematic capture, component selection, layout, bring up and debugging.
• Qualify designs through environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal, and TVAC testing.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate designs into the spacecraft system.
• Act as technical leader and mentor others in the team.
