Job summary

K2 Space Corporation in Los Angeles is seeking an RF engineer to lead component management, system integration and operations of RF electronics on its high-power satellite platforms. In your first 6 months you will design, test, and integrate RF/GNSS hardware and work with RF, FPGA, software, mechanical and electrical engineers to execute environmental and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of microwave / RF engineering experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including RF link budgets and antenna placement.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB and RF test equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee RF systems on the satellite from design through on-orbit operations.
• Develop and test RF and GNSS hardware in the first year.
• Collaborate with RF, FPGA, software, mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Own FCC licensing and ground segment compatibility testing.
• Lead vehicle integration and reliability testing with payload teams.
