Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff in RF Design Engineering in California to lead the development of RF front‑end blocks using RFSOI technologies, including switches, antenna tuners and low noise amplifiers.

You will perform RF schematic design, layout, parasitic extraction, EM simulations and pre‑silicon verification, define characterization plans, document trade‑offs, and engage customers to translate requirements into reference designs and technical papers.

Qualifications

• MS in electrical engineering with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• BS in electrical engineering with minimum 11 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RFSOI technologies including tapeouts of relevant circuits.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and tapeout procedures (DRC/LVS).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF switches, antenna tuners and LNAs and related blocks for 5G FR1/FR3 and Wi-Fi using RFSOI tech.
• Perform RF IC schematic design, layout, parasitic extraction, EM simulations and pre-silicon verification.
• Ensure manufacturability yield, reliability, ruggedness and ESD performance.
• Develop test plans to characterize silicon and correlate simulations with measurements.
• Create design documentation and communicate technology capabilities to customers.
• Engage with customers to translate requirements into reference designs and content.
