Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ CRFS seeks a versatile Senior Field Applications Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between our engineering team and a diverse customer base. Based at our Reston, VA headquarters in a hybrid role, you will provide expert-level support, hands-on training, and troubleshooting for complex RF systems and networked solutions.

Qualifications

• RF concepts (frequency, power, spectrum analysis) and test equipment proficiency.
• BS in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related technical field; military training allowed in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working on static sensitive equipment in ESD controlled environments.
• Basic to intermediate networking skills (TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs).
• Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international).
• U.S. Citizenship due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-tier technical assistance remotely and on-site to ensure mission success.
• Deliver comprehensive training to end users from basic to advanced system use.
• Perform diagnostics and high-level repairs on CRFS equipment.
• Deploy to customer locations to support, configure, and assist with installation.
• Develop test plans and project reports to support field activities.
• Support Sales with demonstrations and technical advice.
